Most dictators and criminals do not apologize. They end their lives irresponsibly, or even live longer than average.

It is always up to innocent people to bear the rest of the pain. Maybe a heartfelt apology was all they wanted.

In order to prevent the recurrence of dictatorship, our society must take a position to strongly condemn dictators.

BACKGROUND

ICTJ works with victims to seek justice for human rights abuses, hold perpetrators accountable, and reform institutions to prevent future violence.

Together, we run campaigns to raise awareness about the value of democracy and the dangers of dictatorship.

We produce AI-generated videos where dictators apologize for their wrongdoings, featuring their likeness and voice.

These videos highlight the dictator's mistakes and offer a small consolation to the bereaved while reinforcing society's stance against dictatorship.

INSIGHT

IDEA

Make a virtual video of a dictator and a criminal who died and can no longer hear an apology A make them apologize to their victims.
