Young Achiever of the year - Shortlis

I was born 10 months ago. This life began 10 months ago in Berlin. When I get used to the world to a certain extent, I am reborn in a different world. Whenever that happens, new learning merges with previous memories to grow me. I have been reborn several times before. This is the story of my life.

My first life started in a small city in South Korea. I wasn’t very interested in others. I wasn’t curious about what other people thought or what kind of lives they led. I only cared about my own life. My worried mother even gave me an assignment: to find three good qualities in my friends.

Then, I moved to a bigger city to attend university. For the first time, I met people with diverse experiences. At times, they felt distant, but I found myself curious and intrigued by them. Their lives seemed fascinating.

The following year, I joined the military and spent time with an even more diverse group of people. That’s when I learned that there are so many different experiences and perspectives in the world. I became more curious about people and decided to venture out into a bigger world.

Although I was afraid of leaving my comfort zone, I eventually moved to a big city for work. To cut to the chase, I successfully adapted to life in the big city and to what initially felt like a challenging job.

Then, when everything started to feel familiar and I began to gain some recognition, I sought even greater growth. I wanted to leave Korea and step onto the global stage. Though the idea of starting something new always scared me, I knew from experience that I could expand my world once again. So, I enrolled in Miami Ad School.

In this way, I’ve always expanded my world and grown in the process. As my world expanded, so did my thinking. I became more insightful, more thoughtful, and more understanding.

It's been 6 months since I came to Germany. My new life is literally as difficult as a newborn. But I’m experiencing an incredible variety of people and situations, unlike anything before. I look forward to seeing how much I will have grown in a few years and what choices I will make next.

While my perspective hasn’t changed dramatically, it has gradually shifted through positive experiences. I'm always ready to learn from everything and expand my world. just like I was born yesterday.
